[:1]I'm still pretty low level at the moment but I'm wondering if you use the Pet attacks (eg. claw, kill etc) in your rotation?
At the moment I pretty much ignore the pet and simply Arcane shoot until out of focus, 2 x steady shot, Arcane again etc.
Should I work in a Pet basic attack when "Sic em" procs? Thanks.
The vast majority of hunter's leave their pet abilities on auto (claw, pet attack, pet buffs, etc). The notable exceptions to this rule are snares, stuns, disarms and disorients. For those, you'll want to control when your pet uses them. The corehound Ancient Hysteria buff is also something that you'll want to control. Otherwise, just let your pet's abilities go off automatically. It's too much of a hassle for you to micromanage your pet's claws, rakes, and bites.
As separate note, as a Marks hunter, you should be opening with Aimed Shot. With the Careful Aim talent, you have almost a 100% chance for it to crit. You can basically one shot mobs with it at your level.
Any pet short cd abilities should be in autocast. Any long cd should set inactive and used through a macro. It doesnt matter if it's a cc ability or a dps increase.
