Hunter experience ruined.

[:1]Hello forum ,

Sorry if this seems like a qq thread or so but , why are hunters deemed as weak by so many classes ? I always see negative threads regarding hunters. In a simple duel with matched skill and gear , what are the classes that a hunter would be able to beat ?

I have a lvl 70 warlock made a month ago and i loved it. But PvP and BG ruined it.
Now i have a hunter and it seems that some chars just require so much more skill to actually be of use. Again , PvP and BG ruined it.

This is why its obvious to me. I play BGs with my brother and he uses a shaman. What he does is simple , Totem , lightning/lava burst , heal and he gets the top dps , kills and is unkillable in 1v1 and last so much more longer. In dungeons , its pretty much the same thing.

I play my warlock and i have never gotten the same score as him in BG particularly. I put in much more effort with all the CCs , curses , stuns , slows and whatnot (destro+succubus currently).
In a single encounter with an opponent , it takes so much more effort in trying to kill that person with a warlock as compared to a shammy.

Basically , it takes so little effort for him to kill as compared to me.

With my hunter , i have to constantly kite in order not to die and even with decent awareness , im food for most other classes.
In raids , even by following the right rotations posted by the forum , i still lose out to my shammy brother who just uses lightning and lava burst. To make it even worse , i get outdps-ed by tanks in raids. Why would u need a dps when u can have a tank and dps built in together ?

I have little knowledge of the other classes in this game , i created those two because i felt id love the way they play. And it really bothers me how it seems that i have not made the right choice , getting owned in BG and Duels by 'simple strategy' , forums approving that the class sucks.

It seems that some other classes have something to save them from !@#$ i.e. a huge heal , escape ability , or just simply huge dps. It seems that whereby i use so many buttons in an encounter or in a raid , some other classes just require a few to achieve the same or somehwhat better result. We have no way to kill healers due to their huge heals. One of their heal is equivalent to my aimed shot crit , 6-7k . A simple button can make ur rotations/attempt useless.

This isnt a thread to complain abt a shammy , its just that the gap between the classes are so obvious when i play a shammy and a warlock and a hunter. Yet the results do not tally with the effort put in.

As of now , can someone just rank the classes in terms of PvP and PvE ? I just , would like for once to use something simple yet be efficient and useful.
And , can someone please sell me this hunter class. Any good about us , any good for the upcoming MoP. I have a 60 DK and 70 lock but i must admit , the hunter is so much more enjoyable... I watch videos of skilled hunters and they really motivate me to learn this class even more.
But again , i am unhappy with the large 'difficulty gap' between the different chars.

With that , sorry for the endless rants and , happy WoW-ing forum :) I had to let the hunter community know what i feel and maybe they could enlighten me.
Peace :)

Regards
RuiQi

PS : I apologise if i had offended any class by saying its 'difficulty' level is easy.
Buttons, man. You picked the classes with the most of 'em. See, on this guy....
... I press a button and a thing turns into a sheep. My pet has one spell I need to use. Going to hunter was a nightmare world of macros and buttons. Things felt slow and complicated compared to what I was used to (blink vs disengage, ice block vs deterrence, sheep vs scatter/trapping) and at first I was pissed because I felt I had basically signed myself up to do more work for the same result.

Maybe in a lot of ways, that's still true. Even if that's the case, I now enjoy the plethora of abilities I have for every situation. Hell, I probably didn't even press Roar of Sacrifice once until like a month after I was 85. My hunter is now what I have the most fun on.

Warlock is the same way as hunter insofar as you'll want to hit 85 before you can see what the class is capable of. The class is godly at early level pvp, then falls off again until you hit 85.Yeah, it's a steeper learning curve than some other classes, but if you like playing it, why not? The expansion is coming out in the not too distant future anyways, so things 6 months from now (or whenever) will not be the same. Just roll with what seems fun. You'll be able to make it work (probably).
Try being an Arms Warrior in PvP.

That is a button nightmare. I ran out of keybindings. Though with them shanking out stance dancing, theres less.

Hunters are right up there, too.
Hunters are difficult. So are locks. You picked two of the most difficult classes to start with. Dont get discouraged.
I'd have to disagree with a warrior needing more binds than hunter, I have an 85 of both classes, and my hunter has around 65 binds while my warrior only has around 40.
