Switch over to BM, bring out Sambas attack a dummy. No not a Pally.. a real dummy..
Sambas has same build as my other dps pets, but he never gains a 5 stack of frenzy. His attack speed seems too low for some reason. I'm never able to get the Focus Fire to proc. (did this with a full 5 min on the dummy, and not one proc of Focus Fire) He usually gets two or 3 stacks of frenzy then they fall off. I change pets, everything is normal. Procs on queue. Go back to Sambas. Same issue, slow attack speed. Pet only ends up dealing about 2500 dps compared to almost 6k from another dps pet.
Went to the pet trainer, retrained him back.. Nothing changes.
Anyhow else seen this?
Thanks for the reply. I'll try him again when I get home. I've not had him out for a week or so. I had a ticket open, and had a GM watching as I had him on the dummy as well. Guess I should have stated that earlier. But the GM took note, and gave me the usual, "I'll submit the information to the development team to look into the issue" after I proved to him that I wasn't crazy. This was a week ago. So maybe there was a hotfix that wasn't noted. I hope so. He's a staple in my flock.
Strange, I use Sambas regularly but I just kind of ignore him as long as he's attacking the right thing. I'll try it out when I get home.
Is your Sambas leveled yet? Level 82 pet attacking a boss level raiding dummy may miss often enough to let frenzy stacks expire.
Were you hit capped when you were doing the testing? Had it happen to me doing some naked testing on a raiding dummy.
The strangest thing I had happen with him is he de-leveled. I summoned him one day, started a dungeon and he dinged 84 during it. I was totally confused. Next day, summon him and he's back to 85.
This was last patch and i do not really use him anymore but he use to get stuck in place on flat ground in pvp fights. He would just stand there until i dismissed him after that i never used him lol

Make sure you've actually filled out his pet talent points in your BM spec. Generally each pet needs it's spec filled in for each of your two dual spec. It's possible you have him properly specced in your non BM spec, went to the trainer in that non-BM spec and filled it out again, but in your BM spec you don't, so he doesn't have Cobra's Swiftness or whatever the T1 pet talent for attackspeed is called.

Did you by any chance train two Samba's, and only level one of them :D?

That wouldn't matter...Sambas is only available in the wild at level 85. I've never heard of a pet losing levels before. That's just - weird.
On-topic, I was running around with my Sambas yesterday and I didn't notice any decrease in my Focus Fire coming up, which would imply that he's gaining Frenzy stacks normally.
I also have this problem. Were you able to get it fixed? Have a ticket in. Very frustrating.
